JAMIESON REES

A two-way player who never stops working at both ends.

Jamieson Rees was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round, 44th overall, in 2019.

An aggressive forward who likes to play a physical game but is also offensively gifted. I like to make plays in the offensive zone. I’m a two way forward that’s effective both in the offensive and defensive zones. I would say that I play a bit like Travis Konecny.

Rees has been a big bright spot on a Sarnia Sting team that has struggled, as he has tallied 58 points in 35 games. He was also named an OHL All Star. Rees plays an aggressive game that fits the style of an NHL team as he could fit in the same role as Brock McGinn and Jordan Martinook with the likely possibility of more offense. He brings a higher level of physicality that would not be expected from players with a smaller size.
